Spring in the Allgäu

When temperatures rise, the snow melts slowly and the first crocuses and daffodils appear, spring in the Allgäu is not far away. The season brings the colours back to our meadows and is ideal for walks, hikes and e-mountainbike-tours. Enjoy the distant view from different peaks, which sometimes reaches to the Lake Constance, or visit the numerous destinations in the surroundings.

Purple crocuses in the green grass

Crocus blossom at the Hündle

If you have never seen the crocus blossom at the Hündle, you should definitely catch up. When the snow has completely melted in spring, the blue and purple wild crocuses appear and form a large, beautiful flower carpet. Within about 20 minutes you can reach the meadows by foot from the mountain station of the Hündle railway.

Sun terrace with view to the Hochgrat

Just enjoy

Take advantage of your holidays in the Allgäu sun for a few moments of relaxation, because the stay in nature has a special effect on our brain: it relaxes us, relieves stress and thus lays the foundation for well-being and good ideas. Enjoy the view on our four sun terraces or at our outdoor pool. You don’t always have to climb the mountain right away – it’s often enough to just look at it in peace.

The Hochgrat is considered as a excursion destination for various walks in spring. The best starting point for large or small tours on well-signposted paths is the mountain station of the Hochgrat railway. From here you can choose, for example, the summit trail or the panorama circular route. The adventure rides (e.g. sunrise or sunset ride or full moon ride) of the Hochgrat railway are also highly recommended.
