Ayurveda at our hotel in the Allgäu
Ayurveda – the ancient science of life – and the clear, invigorating nature of the Allgäu share a single idea: health begins when body, mind, and surroundings are in balance. At the Allgäu Sonne, your Ayurveda hotel in the Allgäu, we bring the two together. Ayurvedic treatments in our spa, a weekly Ayurveda day with talks and workshops, and immersive yoga and Ayurveda weeks. Whether it’s a first encounter or a deeper exploration, you’ll find your own path into Ayurveda here.
The art of Ayurvedic treatment
In Ayurveda, every person is treated as a whole – and every person is different. That’s why our trained therapists shape each treatment – from Ayurveda and Abhyanga massages to herbal poultice treatments – around you.

Wednesdays: Ayurveda Day
As part of our “Knowledge beyond the Horizon” series, Sonja Hilsenbek regularly shares her expertise with guests at our Ayurveda hotel in the Allgäu. A qualified Ayurveda specialist, pulse diagnosis practitioner and phytotherapist, she brings the 5,000-year-old body of Ayurvedic knowledge vividly into modern life: through talks, workshops, pulse diagnoses, and constitutional analyses.

Yoga & Ayurveda Activity Weeks 2026

Ayurveda-inspired cuisine
Ayurveda doesn’t end on the massage couch at the Allgäu Sonne, your Ayurveda hotel in the Allgäu. Every Wednesday – in step with our Ayurveda day – our kitchen pairs each course of the gourmet half-board with an Ayurvedic alternative. The day opens Ayurvedically too, perhaps with an Ayurvedic porridge or drink at breakfast. And during our Yoga & Ayurveda weeks, the kitchen extends the gourmet half-board with Ayurvedic alternatives across nearly every course.
Good to know: Ayurvedic dishes are also available individually, à la carte.
